The Sky was Really Those Colors
We had to pull over. Driving home one evening, when they sky could not hold one more bit of color, there was no other right response.
Country Evening
It was simple, and it was beautiful.
Summer Field 1
There are few things like the intensity of the colors at the beginning of the summer when the sun is high in the sky.
Over Bacharach and the Rhine
Bacharach is a small, sleepy town on the banks of the Rhine River in Germany. It staked its claim to this bend in the river over 600 years before America became a country, and an old yellow church proudly greets each person who visits.
Red Afternoon
The sky was high and clear on this fall afternoon as the leaves whispered about changing. The farmers has already harvested the fields and the gold and red stubble was all that was left.
Summer Field II
The waving wheat, sure smelled sweet.
The Cathedral
This scene is inspired by one of my favorite places in the woods behind my home. The rocks and trees reach up and form a perfect high ceiling over a small valley. Calling it a cathedral is very appropriate, I believe.
A Bouquet for You
The only thing better than fresh flowers is a beautiful painting of fresh flowers that never fades.
When Life Gives You Lemons
Make lemonade!
Offering
There are few things more lovely than a bowl full of what you grew in your own garden. Every spring we plant and water and wait and wait, and then I get distracted and go about other things. Then, sometime in July, all of a sudden, we’re overwhelmed by the goodness of growing things.
