The Cathedral in Watercolor
This scene is inspired by one of my favorite places in the woods behind my home. The rocks and trees reach up and form a perfect high ceiling over a small valley. Calling it a cathedral is very appropriate, I believe.
Black Raspberries in June
Every June, the blooms on the briars on our hill are replaced by small, sweet black raspberries. Every year we patiently pick them to enjoy. When ripe, they are deep, deep purple; almost black. When there are many in a bowl, I think they look like jewels.
Kapalua
We hiked a rocky path along the coast to watch the sun set behind the next island. It got dark on the way back and it was hard to scramble around the rocks, but as you can see, it was worth it.
Sweet Home
This was a special commission for a longtime friend. She wanted a painting of aspens. I snuck her own home into the scene, and I made it snow, because she loves snow. Can you find her and her husband’s initials carved into one of the trees?

Show your walls some love.
